A CO₂-based Varroa management system, validated across 60 honeybee colonies at 96%+ mite reduction, with a companion AI detection platform that identifies mites at 98.6% accuracy. Small hive beetle attraction
A field study with USDA-ARS of in-hive trap baits for the small hive beetle, a major honey bee pest, testing how beer alcohol concentration changes how many beetles are attracted and captured, toward chemical-free control. First-author publication in the Journal of Apicultural Research (2025).

Veteran beekeeping mentorship
Founded and lead the veteran beekeeping mentorship program run with Hives for Heroes, working with 292 U.S. veterans who use beekeeping to recover from PTSD and trauma. Weekly calls teach Varroa mite control; 79 veterans run my CO₂ treatment system, and the rest use organic methods suited to what's available locally.
